We take 16 official NEET question papers spanning 2015–2026 (2,978 questions in total), tag each question by its chapter, merge naming variants, and compute each chapter’s share of questions per subject. Because a single exact percentage would imply false precision, we display every figure as a ±5% range. The data is refreshed whenever new papers are added.

Which is the most important chapter for NEET Biology?
Counted across all 16 NEET papers in our solved archive (2015–2026), Diversity & Morphology is the single highest-weightage Biology block, contributing roughly 16–19% of all Biology questions. In Physics it is Mechanics (~29–33%) and in Chemistry Physical Chemistry (~39–44%).
How is this chapter weightage calculated?
We count every question in official NEET papers (2,978 questions, 2015–2026), tag each by chapter, merge spelling variants, and express each chapter as its share of questions. All figures are shown as ±5% ranges — strong indicators, not exact guarantees.
Are the important chapters the same every year?
The high-weightage chapters are remarkably stable year to year, which is why multi-year PYQ data is a reliable guide. Exact per-paper counts vary slightly, so we present ranges rather than fixed numbers.
How many chapters should I focus on?
It depends on the subject, and the answer is the opposite of what most guides say. Physics is genuinely top-heavy: Mechanics, Electrodynamics and Modern Physics together are about 77% of the Physics paper, so prioritising the top blocks there has a very high return. Biology is the flat one - its largest block is around 18% and its smallest about 8%, spread evenly across eight blocks - so in Biology, coverage beats prioritisation, and skipping a block is simply lost marks on half the paper. Prioritise in Physics; cover broadly in Biology.
